This project will show the destruction that man causes in order to get what he wants,
or in this case, to get to the end goal of releasing a friend. It will also require the two individuals
participating to practice collaboration in order to succeed.

Overview
In this piece we will set up an interactive maze where one person will begin at the starting line
wearing a blindfold. The second person will be seated at the finish line with their hand tied to the
arm of the chair. Their job is to direct the blindfolded participant through the maze with verbal
directions.

As the blindfolded participant makes their way through the maze, there will be small obstacles in
their path. The only way to get past these obstacles is to knock them down, kick them out of the
way, etc. These obstacles represent the vast variety of things that have been harmed or destroyed,
all for the benefit of humans. These obstacles will represent things like animals and wildlife, nature
and the environment, etc.

The end goal is to reach the participant at the end of the maze and release them. At this point, the
blindfold may come off and the damage done to the obstacle may be seen.
Connection to the Artwork
Beneath each item placed in the maze, there will be an index card with a question. The blindfolded
person will hold up the card and the seated person will read it. The pair have to either answer the
questions or tell us something they like about a given piece in the gallery.
